Office Policy

Office Hours

We are open to serve you, answer questions or schedule an appointment during the following hours:

Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Appointments

YOUNG CHILDREN
Appointments for younger children (age 7 and under) will be scheduled only in the morning hours. Studies have shown that younger children benefit from this as they will be less tired and are able to keep a positive experience. We also invite parents back during this time.

OLDER CHILDREN
Appointments for older children (age 8 and older), may be scheduled in the afternoon time slots dependent on child cooperation. Parents are asked to remain in the waiting room during these appointments. Upon completion of the appointment parents will then be invited back into the operatory to speak with the doctor

RE- SCHEDULING & MISSED APPOINTMENTS POLICY
Appointments can be changed or canceled without penalty 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Failure to notify us 48 hours prior will result in a $50 cancellation fee for cleaning appointments and 50% of the treatment cost for treatment appointments. As a courtesy to you, we will make our best effort to send appointment reminders but it is the patients/parents' responsibility to remember scheduled appointments.

Insurance

We appreciate you choosing Pediatric Dentistry of Los Altos for your child’s dental care.  At Pediatric Dentistry we value our relationship with your family and would like to offer the following as our payment policy:

For patients without insurance we do as for payment in full at the time of the visit.

In case of insurance, we will be happy to help you receive the maximum benefits available under your policy. However, please realize that the relationship is between you, the insured, and your insurance company. If insurance is pending, you will receive an interim statement to let you know that the account has not been paid.  If we do not receive payment from your insurance company within six weeks after submission of the claim, you will be expected to pay for all dental services in full.  In the event of duplicate payments, you will be reimbursed.

Please note that the parent or guardian bringing in the child into the office on the day of service will be expected to pay for services rendered.

For your convenience we accept Check, Visa, Master Card and American Express.  There will be a $25.00 charge for returned checks.

Payment can be prepaid before your appointment date or can be paid at the time of the appointment check in.
